Grow Your Business: What Should I Do? Using Excel to Make Smart Decisions

Is this a good investment?  How much should I charge?  Do I hire?  Life and business are full of questions with imperfect underlying assumptions. This session explores how to use the built-in functionality of Microsoft Excel to predict outcomes and make sound decisions in the face of uncertain timing, expenses, and returns.

Biography: Michial J. Jacob, P.E. has founded several businesses including Veritas Engineering Group, which he successfully exited in 2023. Mr. Jacob holds an engineering degree from Purdue and was a member of the inaugural Purdue Foundry Boost cohort in 2022 and of the 2021 Firestarter cohort. Mike is a frequent digital, in-person, and print contributor to the National Association of Subrogation Professionals and has lectured at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.  He is thought to be the only kid on his block to have constructed a pirate ship-shaped treehouse.
