(Vincennes, Indiana) Greg Parsley, a veteran Hoosier educator, has been named to the board of The Pantheon innovation theater in Vincennes. Parsley brings more than two decades in educational experience to the growing entrepreneurial hub.
“I look forward to serving the Pantheon Board with the endless possibilities of what the Pantheon can and will be. We all know and recognize that one of the major focus points that we have is keeping and more so retaining the talent that we have with our youth in Knox County and The Pantheon is just one of the many ways which we can hopefully be able to do this,” said Parsley.
His career started with teaching Economics at Roncalli High School. After year one, he moved to the Tippecanoe School Corporation where he taught Government and shortly thereafter began his career in education administration. This includes serving as athletic director at Rensselaer Central and principal at both Bloomfield Jr/Sr High School and Vincennes Lincoln High School. During the 2010-11 school year, Mr. Parsley moved from being the high school principal at Vincennes Lincoln to the assistant superintendent and with the 2012-2013 school year assumed the responsibility of superintendent for the Vincennes Community School Corporation.
He’s been involved in many professional capacities and this includes serving as president of the Vincennes Rotary, Board of Trustees for Vincennes University, Board member to KCARC, President of the Hoosier Heartland School Trust, former Executive Board member to the Southern Indiana Education Service Center, Board member to Knox County Special Education Cooperative, YMCA Board Member, Board Member to the Knox County Development Corporation, Board Member to the Knox County Community Foundation and is a member of the Vincennes Redevelopment Commission.
He’s an active member of First Christian Church in Vincennes and has served his church as the moderator, Elder Chair, Search Team and is presently the chair of Stewardship.
The avid St. Louis Cardinals fan has been a season ticket holder for 17 years. He’s married to Stephanie who is a third-grade teacher and with this, says he gets the opportunity to share in the lives of Daelyn, Ainsley and Bayden.
