IU Law Professor Named to Board of Emerging Indiana Innovation Theater

(Vincennes, Indiana) An IU law professor joins the growing list of accomplished professionals lending their expertise to an entrepreneurial hub in Vincennes, Indiana. Dr, Mark Need has been named to the board of The Pantheon, a historical landmark that’s been transformed into a co-working community and center for entrepreneurship.

Need is an attorney, a law professor, and the Director of the Elmore Entrepreneurship Law Clinic at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. Mark earned his JD and MBA in 1992 at IU and has spent nearly three decades representing businesses of all sizes, focusing on startups and small businesses. At Maurer, in addition to leading the Entrepreneurship Law Clinic and its associated classwork, Professor Need teaches transactional drafting courses and leads the extracurricular transactional teams.  

"It is often said, and rightly so, that entrepreneurship is the engine of local economic growth. Vincennes sits at the center of a wealth of entrepreneurial activity, including agricultural innovation. The Pantheon speeds that growth engine, as a center that assists, supports, and connects startups with resources and programming that are invaluable to entrepreneurs,” said Dr. Need.

The site sits in downtown historical Vincennes, Indiana and is the heart of co-working and entrepreneurship in Knox County. Its mission is to develop resources, services and a community which will foster innovation and help entrepreneurs and businesses prosper in the region. The operations are proudly backed by the Davidson School of Engineering at Purdue University and the Purdue Research Foundation.
